Joe Oakley and Martin Cole made their first attempt playing as a pair at the World Championships a successful on by winning the doubles in Jersey on Saturday 11th November.
They overcame a tough run to the Final to beat Chris Tupper and partner Harry Barbet in three legs in the Final on the Saturday evening.
Martin’s old partner Kevin Tunstall teamed up with Gerry Fitzjohn to make the semi-finals.
After a surprising first-round exit power pairing Nigel Senior and Guernsey’s Trevor Gallienne won the Plate.
