Worthing B won the Inter League One Day B/C Teams event at the Burgess Hill Con Club on Saturday 21st February.
The four entered teams played each in a round robin and after the first two of the three series of matches defending champions Redhill B were half a point up on Worthing B.
With Brighton B and Brighton C out of contention the title would come down to the match between the top two in Series Three.
Worthing B took the lead in the first-half of the series with the first three matches going 5-4 in their favour. The final four matches were proved close and ended up tied 6-6 giving Worthing B the title by half a point.
Four players topped the averages with eight points from a maximum of nine; these were Alex Hornby, Clive Thompson, Dave Ingram and Jim Greensted. Alex Hornby had the top leg score of 9060.
