Rob Hall won his second Open in a row with victory in the National Off The Spot beating Mark Trafford in the Final.
The event played at the Roffey Club, Horsham on Sunday 23rd June was contested by 35 players and started with a group stage.
Boball has been in great form over the summer and he won a group of death from Ricky Dewdney, Curt Driver, Chris Cox and Daniel Wheal. His opponents didn’t get any easier and he had to beat Martin Cole (L16), Phil Osborne (QF), Matt Jones (SF) before beating Mark in the Final. Surely one of the toughest runs ever to win an Open.
Mark James reached the semi-finals, and Dave Ingram, Kevin Tunstall, Phil Osborne and Stuart Carruthers all got to the quarter-finals.
After getting knocked out from his tough group, Chris Cox reached his second Final of the weekend in the Plate, but unlike the day before he was unable to claim the win and lost to Surrey’s Michael Wilson.
