Inter League 2024/25 Series Seven Round-Up

Only one Division One match was played last night and it was good news for those not playing as Worthing A lost their 100 percent winning record when losing 6-1 to West Sussex at Henty.

The night started well for the visitors with Melissa Beach winning against the break and Dan Wheal and Barry Holt scoring with the break. Mike Daw battled back for Worthing taking the fourth but any thoughts of a comeback were short lived as Chris Cox sealed the win before Martin Cole got a season high score of 22,340 with two breaks. Kevin Charlton then took the last leg to seal a comprehensive victory.

In Division Two Redhill B remained top with a 5-2 win away at Lewes in which most legs were close. The Surrey team won the match in the first four legs with wins for Anita Blackman, Alex Hornby, Martin Pellett and Nev Blackman. Lewes then took the next two with Colin Southouse and Chase Newman successful before Mark Fraser won the last.

Littlehampton kept close on the heels of Redhill B with a 4-3 victory at Mid Sussex in which all legs went with the break. Barry West, Derek Taylor and Richard Spurrier won for the home team and Steve Beach, Eric Hampton, Colin Green and Chris Lawman taking the victories for the visitors.
