Inter League Home and Away 2025/26 Series Five Round-Up

Worthing A moved back top of Division One with a 5-2 win at home to Brighton A.
Given the strength of both teams a high quality was expected but both teams struggled and no player went in with enough first visit.
Mike Daw won the first for Worthing and then Nigel Senior levelled for Brighton. The hosts then took control with Stuart Mepham, Martin Smith, Ian Lelliott and Stuart Carruthers winning the next four legs. Matthew Knight added the visitors second leg in the last.

Redhill A moved up to third behind Brighton with a 4-3 home win against Tunbridge Wells.
The opening three legs all went against the break with Bryan Stevens winning for the visitors and Geoff Jukes and Dave Jones for the hosts. Michael Wilson took the fourth leg before Kyle Ingram pulled a leg back for the visitors. The comeback didn’t last as Dave Constable sealed the match for Redhill in the sixth and then Curt Driver won another leg for the visitors.

Worthing B moved top of Division Two following a 5-2 away win at Lewes.
The visitors started well with Paul Moyes-Robb, Rick Cunningham and Dave Ingram winning the first three legs. Dave Knight pulled a leg back before James Whittle sealed the match in the fifth leg. The last two legs were split with Huw Lincoln for Lewes and Tony Jenner for Worthing both winning against the break.

Leaders going into the weekend Mid Sussex dropped to second after losing 5-2 at Brighton C.
The hosts were fast out of the gate with Alan Brackenridge and Sandra Hall putting them 2-0 up. Mid Sussex fought back to level with Ros Appleby and Graham Sparksman winning. However the comeback didn’t go any further as Brighton won the last three with Marcus Chipman, Bella Stoner and Kevin Stoner all winning.

Littlehampton postponed third match against Brighton B.
