Kev Hall is the Master

Kevin Hall returned to form by winning the Sussex Masters which was played at the Roffey Sports & Social Club on Saturday 11th June.

Despite not playing regular league bar billiards during the last season Kev qualified as the 13th seed and topped a tough group containing Stuart Carruthers and Chris Cox.

His form improved further as he chased down nearly 18k in his quarter-final with a 19,800 table play-out in the second leg; which was also the highest break of the day. He then overcame Nigel Senior on a tricky table in his semi-final.

Runner-Up was Rick Cunningham who overcame his bad break to hit a string of big breaks as he progressed though his group and then beat Matthew Knight and Ricky Dewdney in the knockout rounds.

Kev proved too strong in the Final and Rick was unable to pull a first leg deficit back.

In the Plate Dave Ingram beat Derek Taylor in the Final, meaning Dave has now won successive Sussex tournament Plates having also won the Sussex Singles version.
