Sussex Ladies performed strongly in the County Championship Division Two which was played on Sunday 19th September at the Totteridge Community Centre in High Wycombe.
Five teams took part in the day in a format that saw each player playing twice against each opposition and each of these legs counting as one point.
Despite the Ladies finishing fourth in the table they were only three points behind Bucks B and Berks who both ended with 30 points. The event was won comfortably by a very strong Kent side, who were surprising relegated from Division One in 2019.
Sussex started the day with a narrow 8-6 defeat to Berks and then in Series Two put in a very good performance to take five legs from Kent; the most a team took from them in match during the competition.
The Ladies secured their only match win with a 10-4 win against newcomers Notts before suffering another narrow 8-6 defeat to eventual runners-up Bucks B in the last series.
