Tunbridge Wells justify favourites tag in Division Two One Day

Tunbridge Wells won the Inter League One Day Division Two at the Burgess Hill CC on Sunday 20th March.

Following their surprise relegation from Division One in 2020 they were strongly fancied to bounce straight back up but were pushed all the way by Littlehampton who finished three points behind in second.

Both teams started with two wins before Littlehampton pulled away the top by beating Mid Sussex in Series Three while Tunbridge Wells had their break. The key match therefore happened in Series Four when the two played each other and the Kent side came away with a 13-8 win.

Tunbridge Wells then got the required points in their last game beating Billingshurst 14-7.

Lewes’ Colin Southouse topped the individual table with a maximum 12 points, with big guns Curt Driver and Paul Sainsbury just behind him on 11 points. Paul also got the top score on the day with 18,210.
