West Sussex withdraw from Inter League Home and Away

I spoke with Martin Cole (West Sussex captain) at length today and West Sussex have agreed as a team that they will be withdrawing from the Sussex Home and Away Interleague for this season. It is a decision they have not taken lightly but feel, as I do, that they will not be able to rearrange all their fixtures and it would be unfair to play some and then concede others. I think most are aware of the reasons they have not played many games, their reasons are perfectly understandable and respected but others had the opposite view hence the league tables looking very lop-sided. On behalf of West Sussex Martin wishes to apologize for any inconvenience caused, they have every intention of entering next season when I know everyone hopes that difficult decisions regarding health and playing do not have to be made. They also intend to play in the One-Day Interleague next month

Their records from the two matches played will be expunged and remaining matches on the fixture list will be byes
